The Girl and
the Dog
The girls name was Allyson. She had brown
hair with blond highlights.
One day she was at the park with her friends Nicole and Faith. Nicole has red
hair .Faith has blond hair. Allyson was
running around the park while Nicole and Faith were swinging. After she was
almost done with her 5th lap around the park a dog ran in front of
her. The puppy was white with black
spots. Allyson picked up the dog (he was about as little as a bathroom sink) and
she brought him over to Nicole and Faith. “He is so cute!!!!” said Nicole. “What
is his name?” said Faith. “I don’t know what his name is.” said Allyson. “We
should name him Spot.” said Nicole. I like
that name.” said Allyson. “I think his name should be Penny just like my dog.” said
Faith. ”First we should take him to my house and see if we can keep him” said Allyson.
“OK” said Faith and Nicole at the same time. We all laughed. When they got to Allyson’s
house Allyson’s mom met her at the door and said “Why do you have a dog.” Allyson
said that she found it at the park. Nicole said they wanted to know if they
could keep him. Allyson’s mom said they could keep it as long as they could take
full responsibility for the dog. They all said yeah at the same time. Then they
all laughed. The Allyson’s mom said that means walking, feeding, bathing, and… “We
know we know” they interrupted. “OK” said Allyson’s mom. “Y’all need to give
him a name and go walk him” said Allyson’s mom. OK we all said. “But first we
have to go to the pet store.” said Allyson’s mom. We all went and got in the
car and went to the pet plaza. “We will need a leash, a collar, a dog dish, and
dog food.” said Allyson’s mom. Then we checked out our total was $30.20. Then
we went home. “I think his name should be Spot or Penny.” said Allyson “Let’s
have a vote.” said Nicole. ”Who votes for Spot.” said Nicole. Allyson and Nicole
raised their hands. “Who votes for Penny” said Nicole. Faith raises her hand. “His
name is Spot!!!” said Nicole. Let’s take Spot on a walk now. “We will walk him
around the block.” said Allyson. Then they went and got the leash. Nicole held
the leash on the first half of the walk. Then on the way back Faith got to hold
it. Then we fed Spot. Then Allyson’s mom came and said that Faith and Nicole
have to go home. Aww we all said at the same time. Nicole’s mom said it is 5:30
it is almost time for dinner. “Can we spend the night at Allyson’s” said Nicole.
They said maybe let us think about it for 15 minutes. We played with the dog
for 15 minutes. Then we went and asked about the sleep over. They said YES. But
that is another story.
